Small private internal medicine practice in Johns Creek near Emory Johns Creek Hospital seeks to hire an experienced Front Office Receptionist. You will be responsible for attending to patients on the phone and in person while coordinating and organizing appointments and documentation to facilitate the smooth running of the office and supporting the delivery of quality patient care. Ability to shift priorities and wear several hats! You won’t find a nicer doctor to work with and for, a really nice and compassionate group!Duties/Responsibilities…Greeting patients, answering incoming calls, dealing with inquiries, and transferring calls as requiredScheduling patient appointments – experience with Avisena Scheduling software a real plusRegistering patients according to established protocolsAssisting patients in completing all necessary forms and documentation including medical insuranceEnsuring patient information is accurate including billing informationInforming patients of medical office procedures and policyMaintaining and managing patient recordsMoving patients through appointments as scheduledCollecting co-pays and paymentsReporting statistics as requiredScheduling hospital admissions, tests, scans, and outside appointments for patientsObtaining external medical reports as requiredResponding and complying to requests for informationDealing with incoming and outgoing postCompleting other clerical duties as assignedMaintaining stock of forms and office suppliesEnsuring reception area is well maintained, neat and cleanSafeguard patient privacy and confidentialityQualifications…2+ years of experience in a medical environment, preferably a physician’s officeKnowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnosisKnowledge of computer and relevant software applicationsKnowledge of general administrative and clerical proceduresWorking knowledge of healthcare insurance is most helpfulKey Competencies/Skills…Communication skills – ability to listen effectively and express yourself in a clear and articulate mannerInformation collection and management – ability to collect, organize, and monitor data efficientlyPlanning and organizing – ability to multi-task, prioritize and schedule tasks and activitiesAttention to detail – Ability to produce accurate and high-quality work through concern for all areas involvedCustomer service skills – Ability to develop good customer relationships with a focus on achieving customer satisfactionAdaptability – Ability to adjust the approach to meet changing demands and situations including dealing with diverse peopleConfidentiality – Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standardsSalary is $18/hourly, paid weekly. You will be paid for time off including holidays, vacations, sick days, and in-house medical treatment available.
