Under direction of the Office Manager, the Front Desk Receptionist essential duties include providing excellentcustomer/patient services via phone and in person.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Must provide excellent customer service for patients; practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance to Clinic policies and HIPAA requirementsWelcomes and greets patients/clients/visitors to the medical practice in a manner that is helpful and friendly; determines purpose of visit and direct patients/clients/visitorsMaintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial informationObtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claimsProtects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial informationKeeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delaysPerforms day-to-day administrative functions and general office duties including but not limited to copying, filing, faxing, answering phones and data entryTransfer telephone calls as needed; works with call center representative to ensure adequate patient support is all timesAdheres to all policies on safety and security; maintains restricted areas safe by safeguarding entry and computer system passwords in strict confidentialityClean, sanitize and maintain patient waiting areas, office files, and front-desk areas in a manner that is organizedAssist with other duties as assignedGeneral cleaning duties to ensure that the office remains clean and tidy for both patients and staffQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:High School graduate or equivalent required, Medical Receptionist Certificate a plus1-3 years of experience medical office receptionist experience; Medical Receptionist Certificate a plusRegular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the positionExcellent communication skillsComputer literate with entry level working knowledgeDemonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, prioritize, and facilitate many on-going tasks at one timeDuties require professional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently or with a teamProfessional appearancePositive attitudeBENEFITS:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceChildcare assistance, up to $500 per month/child401K with company matchSTD, LTD, Life InsurancePaid Time Off and Paid Holidays#ZR
