Medical Front Desk Receptionist

Title: Medical Front Desk Receptionist Location: Lexington, SC Pay: $13/hr Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5pm Are you a friendly and organized individual with a passion for providing excellent customer service? We are seeking a Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our reputable medical clinic in Lexington, SC. Responsibilities: Patient Check-In/Check-Out: Greet patients upon arrival, verify their information, and assist with the check-in process. Collect and process co-payments, verify insurance coverage, and schedule follow-up appointments as needed. Appointment Scheduling: Manage appointment scheduling, including coordinating with healthcare providers, scheduling patient appointments, and sending appointment reminders. Phone and Email Communication: Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries via phone and email in a professional and courteous manner. Direct calls to the appropriate department or staff member as needed. Medical Records Management: Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information. Retrieve and file patient records, update electronic medical records (EMR) systems, and assist with record requests. Insurance Verification: Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients, process insurance claims, and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and paperwork. General Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to clinic staff, including photocopying, faxing, scanning documents, and assisting with other clerical tasks as needed. Qualifications: -Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred. -Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and welcoming demeanor. -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. -Proficiency in computer applications, including electronic medical records (EMR) systems. -Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. -Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing processes is a plus.
