Healthcare Patient Access Representative/Receptionist

Description:As a Patient Service Representative, you will be tasked with the following job duties:xe2x80xa2 Greet patients and families at the front deskxe2x80xa2 Troubleshoot issues with patients coming in utilizing the new iPad system for check-in/screeningxe2x80xa2 Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, call on referralsxe2x80xa2 Answer questions about appointments, insurance, and paymentsxe2x80xa2 Assist with the smooth transfer of patients between departmentsxe2x80xa2 Assist with administrative work such chart prepping, and and maintaining medical recordsxe2x80xa2 Coordinate patient appointments and information flow between departments and outside organizationsDay to day:- All of their records come in faxed to email. Then saves them as PDF and puts in the patients chart- If it’s results for the patient, she reports to the staff to let them know the records are in- If it’s a new patient, she prints the document and puts on front desk- Prints records- Deadline Based work- Records they prep for Friday’s appointment need to be done by Wednesday- Pulling 3-4 days in advanced for records- First in the morning, they check the Medicaid in the system- Go down to the basement to pull paper charts (rare but will be going up and down on the stairs).-> Scan and file this document back in the system- Majority of their Medical records, they use an outside service.Skills:Customer service, Patient service, insurance verification, administrative support, medical record, data entry, Scheduling, medical terminology, insurance claim, Customer supportTop Skills Details:Customer service,Patient service,insurance verification,administrative support,medical record,data entryAdditional Skills & Qualifications:MUST:- Administrative expereince – Filing, scanning, data entry- Technical abilities- Adobe, PDF, Outlook, Excel (plug data). Converting things from PDF to an Email**- Working under a deadline without any monitoring- Organization- Mathematical- Second counted to check deposits- The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the healthcare industry- Experience handling medical records, posting payments and insurance verification- Strong interpersonal skills – Proven record of building and maintaining relationships with customers and co-workersPLUS:- ModMed (EMA system)- Prior PSR experience- Medical Field experience- Medical Insurance (Trainable)- Preparing recordsExperience Level:Entry Level About TEKsystems: We’re partners in transformation.
