The Front Office Receptionist serves as initial contact for all visitors in the clinic. They perform general practice management duties including scheduling of patients, obtaining authorizations and assisting with billing. Assists with escorting patients to exam rooms andxc2xa0 other departments as needed, responsible for cash reconciliation, and inputs statistical data.Registering patients through the clinic’s EHR system.xc2xa0 Schedules patient visits according to visit type.xc2xa0xc2xa0Answers incoming phone calls and assists patients with scheduling appointments. Assists patients with medication refill requests, insurance authorizations and patient-to-provider messaging.xc2xa0 Checks voicemail messages as needed.Prepares charts for upcoming visits.xc2xa0 Collects information from outside healthcare providers and diagnostic centers as needed and distributes to providers and support staff.xc2xa0Processes all daily “Time of Service” monies and makes sure all payments received are accounted for and submitted to accounting per established workflow.Assists patients, pharmacies and diagnostic centers by providing and verifying order information and documentation for prescriptions and diagnostic services as requested.xc2xa0Processes all Request for Authorization documentation and medical record requests.xc2xa0 Communicates with patients regarding status of these requests and advises them accordingly.xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0Verifies all necessary forms are accumulated fromxc2xa0 insurance carriers.xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0Prepares monthly productivity reports and distributes them to accounting and hospital management.Participates in monthly staff meetings Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience: A minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting specializing in primary care is preferred, but not required.xc2xa0xc2xa0License or Certificatin: N/ARequired Skills or Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, excellent organizations skills; able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and manage priorities and workflow, flexibility and willingness to work within a changing schedule, proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of medical terminology a plus, professional appearance and demeanor, must be bilingual in Spanish.Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to level of experience, education, special skills and/or certifications.USD $21.23USD $27.60
