The Medical Receptionist undertakes all receptionist and clerical duties at the front desk of our main entrance of the clinic.Requirements:Position Responsibilities:Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly mannerProvide prompt communication to patientsAssist patients with required patient formsVerify patient demographics and insurance benefitsPerform billing and bookkeeping functions including collecting cash payments, posting and balancing daily sheets of transactions, and bank depositsMaintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical recordsAnswer phone calls timely and in a professional and friendly manner using provided guidelinesComplete required trainings through LMS platformAssist team members as neededDemonstrate empathetic and superior communication skillsDisplay outstanding customer service and patient carePresent a positive and team orientated attitudeEffectively act as a liaison between patients and providersAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentUnderstand order of urgency and time managementAbility to follow established office routines and policiesWorking knowledge of medical terminologyUnderstand the ethics of confidentiality/HIPAA lawsMentally alert and focusedPatient, courteous, and present a neat and friendly appearanceComplete required trainings as assigned by the organizationPosition Must Haves:Minimum of 1+ years of proven experience as receptionist, customer service representative or relevant position.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organizationOutstanding customer service focusAttentive to the clinic environment and patientsFlexibility and adaptability to meet organizationxe2x80x99s needs as well as effective problem-solving skillsFast learner with general understanding of medical terminology and ethics of confidentiality/ HIPAA laws.Education Requirements:Computer savvy with working knowledge of multiple healthcare computer platforms, knowledge of EMR systems i.e. (eClinicalWorks) or EPIC strongly preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalentWork Environment & Schedule:This job operates in a professional medical office environment.This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machinesSaturday- Sunday, 7:45am-8pm, 40 hours a week, full timeAlternating weekendsMay require overtime and travel within assigned region and at times outside of assigned region, depending upon patient volume and region/clinic needsSedentary, sitting for extended periods of timeConsistent use throughout shift of technology to complete assigned work tasksFrequent use of working on a computer to complete assigned work tasksFlexibility to help at clinics within the region as requestedYou will enjoy working with the team if you:Thrives working in fast-paced and high growth environmentsHave a passion for helping people and working with a servantxe2x80x99s heartAn eye for detail to improve and provide feedbackEnjoy meaningful work that truly impacts people livesAgile with the ability to adapt in a sometimes-ever-changing environmentStrives to be the patient experience exceptional and create a positive impact with the team and organizationTampa General Hospital and Fast Track Urgent Care have partnered together to create unique clinics for patients to receive compassionate and knowledgeable treatment.
