This position rotates duties for check in, check out, and answering phones in our call center to ensure a well-rounded and pleasant experience for our patients. Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist in person patients with scheduling, check in, and check out procedures, upholding the QES Gold Standards of Care and HIPAA regulations.Assist patients via phone with scheduling and answering procedure or scheduling questions, upholding the QES Gold Standards of Care and HIPAA regulations.Update patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and QES processes and procedures.Coordinate patient insurance for the patient record and ensure compliance with all regulations.Open the facility at shift beginning and organize workstations appropriately, print patient charts for technician and physician preparation.Maintain facility through emptying trash, cleaning shared break spaces, and ordering supplies per the departmental procedures.Uphold the clinic policy and procedures in greeting Guests and escalate concerns to the Office Manager; greet Guests with enthusiasm and a high level of customer support, upholding the Quigley value system.Rotate job duties throughout the Front Office team and provide coverage at other clinics on occasion on an as needed basis, based on patient volume and needs.Other related duties as assigned.TRAVELRequired to travel to other QES facilities in the region from time to time, based on need and patient volume.Required QualificationHigh School graduate/GED equivalentProficient in computer programs and navigating a computer effectively.Previous EMR or related computer software required.2+ years previous clinical or medical office experienceBilingual – English/Spanish OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:The use of kindness, empathy and patience when dealing with our patient populationAttention to detail.Ability to multi-taskAbility to work as a team member.Cooperates and effectively communicates with all staff members and physicians about patient matters.
