This position interviews patients and/or their representatives to obtain complete and accurate demographic, financial and insurance information, required for billing and collecting patient accounts. The Front Office Associate performs a variety of clerical and patient service duties necessary to maintain efficient flow of operations in the medical office. The Front Office Associate may answer multiple phone lines, schedule appointments, assist in processing medical records requests, enter patient demographic and insurance information, and accept patient payments.xe2x80xa2 Displays high level of professionalism and gives superb customer service xe2x80xa2 Obtains and reviews patient demographic and insurance information for accuracy xe2x80xa2 Verifies insurance and collects copays, co-insurance, and outstanding balancesxe2x80xa2 Ensures all patient intake forms are signed and complete xe2x80xa2 Answers patient communication pathways including multiple phone lines, Solution Reach Conversations Messaging Portal, and email/faxxe2x80xa2 Schedules appointments xe2x80xa2 Processes medical record requests per policies and procedures xe2x80xa2 Coordinates with Clinical Staff to ensure optimal patient experienceEducation: xe2x80xa2 High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate xc2xa0Required Skills: xe2x80xa2 Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office/health care setting xe2x80xa2 Minimum 2 years of health care insurance experience xe2x80xa2 Strong computer knowledge and skills with a minimum typing speed of 30 WPM xe2x80xa2 Strong desire to assist others and provide excellent customer service xe2x80xa2 Must be highly dependable and organized xe2x80xa2 Outstanding interpersonal skills xe2x80xa2 An impeccably clean, polished, professional image xe2x80xa2 The ability to learn quickly, retain training, problem solve and think independently xc2xa0Preferred Skills: xe2x80xa2 Understanding of medical terminologyWe offer a competitive benefits package to our employees:MedicalDentalVision401k w/ MatchHSA/FSATelemedicineGenerous PTO PackageWe also offer the following benefits for FREE:Employee Discounts and PerksEmployee Assistance ProgramGroup Life/AD&D Short Term Disability Insurance Long Term Disability Insurance EyeSouth Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
