We are looking for a competent dental receptionist with dental assisting experience who will make the dentistxe2x80x99s office more efficient and pleasant for patients. Youxe2x80x99ll ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentistxe2x80x99s shoulders. Applicants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. Responsibilities Welcome customers in the dental office and assure smooth transition from the front to the dental chair Make sure that eligibility, pt’s information, and recommended treatment is updated Select and set up instruments, equipment and material as needed. To take panoramic/ x-rays, to help Hygienist in perio charting as needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations as needed Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry as needed Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions To coordinate with Dental Assistant/ Hygienist at all times To schedule appointments Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures Skills Proven experience as dental front office and dental assistant Experienced w/ Dentrix software/tools is a must Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Weekends as needed Supplemental pay types: Bonus opportunities Ability to commute/relocate: Kapolei, HI 96707: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Dentrix: 1 year (Required) Dental Assisting: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: Registered Dental Assistant (Preferred) X-Ray Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
