Responsibilities:- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using medical scheduling software- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments- Maintain patient records and update information as needed in electronic dental records system- Assist with patient inquiries, providing excellent customer service and addressing concerns- Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations- Manage front desk tasks such as filing, faxing, and organizing paperwork- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality Requirements:- Previous experience as a front desk receptionist or in a dental office setting required- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures- Knowledge of electronic records systems is a plus- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
