Job Title: Dental Assistant Location: Millsboro, DE Employment Type: Full-time Salary: Negotiable based on experience Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at our Millsboro, DE dental practice. The ideal candidate should be certified in x-ray procedures and possess strong interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient care. Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including routine cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other dental treatments. 2. Prepare treatment rooms for procedures by ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilized and readily available. 3. Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist, ensuring quality images for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. 4. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including treatment plans and progress notes. 5. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions. 6. Perform dental laboratory procedures, including pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions. 7. Assist in managing inventory and ordering dental supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation of the practice. 8. Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. 9. Provide support to front office staff with scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and processing patient paperwork. 10. Collaborate with other team members to deliver excellent patient experiences and achieve practice goals. Requirements: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Completion of an accredited dental assisting program. 3. Current certification in dental radiography (x-ray certification) in the state of Delaware. 4. Proven experience working as a dental assistant preferred. 5. Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials. 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. 8. Proficiency in computer skills and experience with dental software preferred. 9. Commitment to upholding patient confidentiality and privacy standards. 10. Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs to stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
