We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Assistant & Front Desk Associate to join our team at Tristate Dental. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dental practice, contributing to both clinical and administrative aspects. Responsibilities: Clinical Responsibilities: Sterilize and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with infection control protocols. Restock treatment rooms with necessary supplies. Manage lab cases and assist in scheduling patients for crowns, dentures, partials, and other procedures. Assist the doctor chairside during various dental procedures. Possess knowledge of dental terminology and procedure protocols, including fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, or a willingness to learn. Obtain and maintain an X-ray license or possess an existing X-ray license. Administrative Responsibilities: Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with the front desk to maintain an organized and efficient schedule. Create and present treatment plans, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of patients’ insurance coverage. Communicate with patients to address questions regarding appointments, procedures, and billing. Answer phones promptly and professionally, handling patient inquiries and scheduling needs. Utilize multiple communication platforms, including Slack, Telegram, email, and chat. Facilitate communication between multiple practice locations regarding patient records, insurance, and treatments. Financial Responsibilities: Collect payments from patients and assist with billing inquiries. Adjust schedules as needed to maximize efficiency. Keep track of practice metrics, including production numbers and completion of treatment plans. Monitor and manage stock levels, placing orders for supplies as necessary. Qualifications: Experience in a dental office setting is preferred. Familiarity with Open Dental software is preferred, or a strong willingness to learn. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively. Willingness to obtain or already possess an X-ray license.
