The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Greets families professionally both in person and on the phone.Answers patient/family questions to the best of his or her ability and/or seeks clarification and instruction when neededAccesses empathy and active listening in difficult interpersonal situationsSupports patient care quality initiatives as directedCoordinates escalations and urgent issues to ensure timely and complete resolutionsCollaborates and communicates with site leadership to facilitate management of complex patient issuesEmploys PM Pediatric Care’s Core values to help patients, families, and other team members navigate PM systems before, during, and after a visitMonitors and manages patient flow throughout the waiting and registration process including assisting families with initiating the self-registration processIs in alignment with all distributed education to keep current on workflows, responsibilities, and technologyRegisters all patients and maintains accurate and complete patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating demographics, insurance, and financial information while maintaining HIPAA complianceManages and acts upon all incoming patient documents, mail and correspondence utilizing proper documentation and storageMaintains confidentiality and privacy of all patient accounts and adheres to all HIPAA guidelinesPerforms opening and closing duties including but not limited to organizing, stocking, sanitizing, and reconcilingExecutes other duties as assignedQualificationsTeam player that can function independently in a fast-paced environmentIntermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work flexible work schedules based on office needs. At times, it may require travel to another site within reasonExcellent customer service and telephone skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProfessional and friendly demeanorQuality focused and detail orientedAbility to calculate simple figures such as adding up receipts, counting cash drawers or subtracting to give change.Outstanding time management, organizational, and critical thinking skillsSuperior situational awareness and ability to successfully react to urgent situationsPrior experience in a healthcare environment and knowledge of medical insurance preferredSocially perceptive and ability to relate to children and how they interact with their familiesComfortability with routinely shifting demandsNavigate multiple computer systemsPrior Front Desk, concierge, customer service or other hospitality experience preferred.High school diploma or GEDCompensation: $17 – $25/hourThe salary/rate range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary/rate for this role. Please note that actual salaries/rates may vary within this range above or below, depending on experience and location.
