Description This posting will remain open until all positions are filled Front Desk Support Staff The Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District (THPRD) is seeking highly organized individuals to join our team as Front Desk Support staff. The ideal candidates will be dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service at multiple THPRD facilities. As Front Desk Support staff, you will serve as the initial point of contact for clerical and customer support, with a primary goal of creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patrons. Bilingual Incentive: We offer a bilingual pay incentive for staff who regularly utilize their bilingual or multilingual skills! Qualifications: While this is an entry-level position, prior experience in administrative and clerical support is preferred. Successful candidates will be familiar with office management principles, demonstrate the ability to create an inclusive environment, and have a basic understanding of Office 365 platforms such as Word, Excel, Publisher, and Teams. Scheduling: Staff are typically scheduled between 2 to 29 hours per week, with part-time employees working less than 1,560 hours annually. Since our centers operate on unique schedules, the general hours of operation are as follows: Monday – Friday: 5:30 am – 10:00 pm Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 am – 8:00 pm Application Review: Our hiring team reviews applications as they come in, considering both your preferred location and fit for the role. If you’re identified as a strong candidate, you will be contacted directly to discuss the next steps. Key Responsibilities: Answer multi-line telephone systems, direct calls to appropriate personnel, and take accurate messages. Greet the public and provide information on schedules, program descriptions, and general inquiries both over the phone and in person. Provide general clerical support, such as preparing and formatting forms, letters, and reports based on rough drafts or detailed instructions. Assist the public with program enrollment by registering participants, collecting payments, and handling related registration procedures. Part-Time Variable (PT): Employees generally work fewer than 20 hours per week and no more than 1,560 hours annually. Part-Time Benefits (PTB) Eligible: Employees work 20-29 hours per week year-round and are eligible for benefits.
