Position Summary and PurposeThe Front Desk provides warm, friendly, and immediate greetings to guests at the door. Records guest information and provides accurate quote time when appropriate. Seats, and presents clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional, and quick manner.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Greeting and seating guests, presenting menus to guests, informing them of special menu itemsWorking in a team environment with the ability to be an effective team playerMaintaining complete knowledge of Restaurantxe2x80x99s food offering and preparationProviding guests with hospitality in a manner that achieves Company service standards and exceeds their expectationsTaking guest information and quoting wait time to guests accurately when tables are not immediately availablePlanning reservations and wait list parties in advance, at or within the given time or time frameReviewing the floor plan to assess current and upcoming table availability changesObserving tables and keeping track of clean, dirty, and occupied tablesCleaning, organizing, and stocking menus at host areaAnswering phone in accordance with Company standards; answering questions concerning the menu and restaurantInteracting with guests coming in and as they leave, ensuring a positive dining experienceFilling to go orders, if applicableMaintaining restrooms throughout shiftSupporting waiters and kitchen staff in other duties as requiredTaking pride in personal appearance; reporting to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policyDisplaying integrity and honesty in all aspects of your employmentPerforming other duties as directedJob Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesHigh energy and stamina are requiredAbility to stay calm and work efficiently under pressureAbility to prioritize job duties and manage time effectivelyExcellent verbal communication skills requiredExcellent customer service to treat patrons like familyMust be able to read, write, and determine wait time based on Companyxe2x80x99s proceduresThe ability to use the companyxe2x80x99s POS systemRequirementsThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
